About The Role

The Digital Marketing Manager is accountable for leading the continued development & management of our digital marketing platforms: working with Colleagues to develop & execute our digital strategy to further the aims and objectives of the Group.

You will be responsible for managing the Digital team & enabling colleagues to ensure continued delivery of digital marketing and communication services to Retailers and Shoppers. A key element to this position will be building and managing relationships with both our retail suppliers and internal trading teams to deliver innovative and creative campaign solutions to help drive income.

Example duties of the role…
  • Develop and deliver our digital marketing strategy, furthering the aims & objectives of the Group
  • Leading the continuous development of the retailer portal & enhancing store owner/manager experiences to drive greater sales
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of the Group’s shopper brand websites, including growth initiatives (such as Content Marketing, SEO) that ensure that we reach more shoppers and drive outcomes (such as email sign ups)
  • Oversee the digital budget, establishing sound budget management, tracking return on investment and maximising value-for-money
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of the Group’s shopper social media presence, including growth initiatives that ensure that we reach and engage more shoppers
  • Be the business expert on, & administrator of, Content Management Systems such as Sitecore.
  • Own & administer all other digital marketing platforms for web, email, & mobile (such as Google Analytics, Dotmailer, Apple / Google stores, Pushwoosh).
  • Lead, develop and manage the Digital team (2 direct reports) developing collaborative working across the team and ensuring suitable succession planning is in place for key roles

About You

We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience of working within a similar role. It goes without saying that you’ll have considerable experience with content management systems & digital marketing tools, content governance, & change processes.

You will have a strong understanding of User Experience and copywriting to a Tone of Voice, a stickler for spelling, & a passion for creating quality content that is kept up to date and have high levels of energy and passion for the role!

Using your strong understanding of UK retail and supplier sector and combination of B2B and B2C experience, you will possess a sound commercial awareness and a proven track record of improving sales and service performance in an online or multi-channel environment.
