Well, this exciting role of Junior Digital Designer may just be for you!

Our Studio Team is hiring an additional position as we work through our integration into Bestway Retail, following our acquisition in early 2021. 

You will be working on a range of household name retail brands spanning the length and breadth of the country – developing high-quality artwork and animations, seasonal campaigns, digital gamification projects and engaging web design. 

Working closely with the Promotions & Activation Teams, alongside the wider Marketing Team, you will produce high-quality artwork as part of our promotional cycle and use your natural organisational skills to ensure delivery on time and within budget. 

As part of the design team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our core range of promotional items – social media posts, animations and digital assets for online placement are produced using industry best practices and to a best-in-class level, ensuring that you continuously improve all of your work, consistently.

About You

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, working to deadlines.
  • Of graduate calibre, possessing a suitable degree-level or equivalent in Graphic Design.
  • Sound knowledge of the industry-standard software including the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After-Effects).
  • An understanding of / interest in using Adobe After effects to create animations.
  • A naturally creative thinker with the ability to craft engaging design.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to learn.
  • Experience with working with consumer-facing material.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable with working on Mac.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently to a structured three weekly cycle.
  • Able to cope well under pressure and meet deadlines across multiple pieces of work/projects at the same time.
  • A flexible attitude and a willingness to work across a range of promotional work.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Proven competence working using your own initiative and within a team.
  • Ideally more than 1 year of experience working within a similar role, but not essential.

Knowledge & Experience
  • A degree, or equivalent qualification, in Graphic Design
  • Use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After-Effects)
  • Organisational skills and the ability to cope under pressure
  • Time management and working at a fast pace to tight deadlines
  • Effective communication across all levels of the business & externally 
  • English language fluency: excellent written and spoken English
  • Attention to detail & copywriting skills: spelling, grammar and proof-reading
  • Creative flair, especially for producing engaging design work & some copywriting
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of our business objectives and vision
