About The Role

We are looking for an IT Security Lead to establish and maintain a culture of information and technology security through a structured programme of works.

You will be responsible for delivering the IT security strategy and improving the company's security posture by identifying and implementing recommendations based on security best practices.  

Furthermore, you will ensure internal systems are compliant to standards and legislation relevant to the businesses operation and achieve necessary accreditations that will demonstrate security best practice.

You require continual improvement and demand a clear vision of future security needs in a fast-moving technical environment.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing the IT Security strategy
  • Delivering the IT security programme throughout the company
  • Communicate industry standard security practices
  • Implement an IT security framework to govern and improve the overall security posture
  • Identify IT security threats and implement appropriate mitigation and controls
  • Deliver compliance against PCI, GDPR and other cyber standards
  • Communicate IT security threats to all stakeholders and internal compliance bodies
  • Establish IT security policies and procedures that protect the business
  • Works on cross-functional projects to deliver secure technology solutions for the business
  • Review, challenge and monitor current and future IT controls
  • Manage the execution of penetration and vulnerability assessments and manage the outcome demonstrating continual improvement
  • Spend time understanding Cyber threats and recommending solutions
  • Manage wireless and remote access security
  • Work with infrastructure teams to harden security standards for web security and encryption technologies
  • Manage business continuity, fault tolerance and disaster recovery solutions
