About The Role

We are looking for a Range Manager to create and deliver quality planograms and dot matrix guides – for both core range and seasonal events - which demonstrate to our members the best way of presenting our range to consumers and which maximise sales and profit for both BRL and our retailers across the convenience fascias within the group.

To support the Category Managers and Category Director in ensuring that all Category-specific administrative processes are carried out. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Create a process to deliver a simple range and planogram matrix which identifies G/B/B range solutions -Price entry ranging – PMP range detail – Premiumisation ranges
  • An offer which can be incorporated across all convenience fascias within the group
  • Create and deliver quality planograms, ensuring that they are continually monitored and updated
  • Create a prioritised Category review calendar incorporating all deadlines and ensuring that all relevant attendees for reviews and outward communication is managed and delivered
  • Create and deliver all seasonal and promotional planograms and recommend complementary merchandising collateral such as POS
  • Support continual development and execution of strong merchandising principles across all categories
  • Manage the product library and data integrity of all products on our planograms, updating as necessary in line with NPD and product code changes
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships and influence with other teams
  •  Provide regular feedback on competitors and complimentary retailer merchandising activity and methodology
  • Liaise with Category Managers and Suppliers to investigate planogram performance to continually challenge and influence range decisions to maximise planogram profitability.
  • Provide relevant analysis/planograms/insights to inform all decisions around allocation of space to product/categories

 

About You

Knowledge, skills & Experience: 

  • Previous experience in Merchandising
  • Understanding of store operations
  • Good understanding of merchandising techniques employed in a variety of retail environments
  • Able to manipulate and analyse large amounts of complex data
  • Ability to spot opportunities for growth and development opportunities
  • A detailed eye for retailing standards
  • Knowledge of space planning applications
  • Able to develop the use of space planning systems
  • Excellent knowledge PC applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
